Vung Vieng floating village is located at the heart of Bai Tu Long Bay, about 40 kilometers from Halong City. This is a favored stop of cruising track on Halong Bay by its scenic setting and typical culture of fishing village.
There are around 160 people living at this fishing village. Their occupations are fishing and pearl farming. Nowadays, a part of local residents is working in tourism and providing tourism services.
Coming to Vung Vieng village, tourists can join a crew to experience the daily life of fishermen and go fishing on the bay; or visit floating pearl farm and see how local people produce great pearls. The village is also an ideal destination for kayaking or sampan ride.
